Faith That Pleases God

"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."
— Hebrews 11:6

This verse names two specific beliefs faith requires: that God exists, and that He rewards those who seek Him. Notice it doesn't say faith requires certainty about outcomes or a guarantee of exactly what you're hoping for. It requires trust that seeking Him is not wasted effort — that the searching itself matters to Him and will be met. If your seeking has felt fruitless lately, this verse reorients the goal: keep drawing near, trusting He rewards the seeking, even before you can see the specific reward.

Prayer

God, I believe You exist and that You reward those who seek You. Keep me seeking, even when I can't yet see the reward. Amen.
