"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Temptation can feel isolating, like your particular struggle is uniquely shameful and unshared. Paul says otherwise: it's common, ordinary, human. What's not ordinary is the promise attached to it — God provides a way of escape, every time, without exception. That escape rarely looks dramatic; usually it's a phone call, a changed room, a verse remembered, a friend texted before the moment passes. Look for that door today rather than assuming you're stuck facing the temptation head-on with no way out.
Faithful God, thank You for always providing a way out. Give me eyes to see it and courage to take it today. Amen.
