"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."
Parenting rarely gives same-day results. You correct the same behavior for the tenth time, pray over a child who seems unmoved, and wonder if any of it is landing. This proverb is a long-view promise, not a formula for instant obedience. The training you do today — the patient repetition, the modeled prayer, the consistent boundary — is seed, not harvest. Trust the sower's timeline more than your own impatience. God is not finished with your child, and He is not finished with your training either.
Lord, give me patience for the long work of raising this child. Let me trust You with what I cannot yet see growing. Amen.
