Seek First, Worry Less

"Do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'... But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
— Matthew 6:31–33

Jesus is not indifferent to your bank account; He names the exact worries — food, drink, clothing, the practical bottom line. But He locates the anxiety's real cure not in a bigger paycheck but in a reordered priority. When the kingdom sits first, the necessities find their proper, smaller place. This doesn't mean careless spending or no budget — it means holding your finances with open hands instead of white knuckles, trusting the Father who already knows your needs before you list them.

Prayer

Father, You know what I need before I ask. Help me seek Your kingdom first and trust You with the rest. Amen.
