"No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve God and money."
Money is not neutral in Scripture — it is treated as a rival claimant on your loyalty, capable of shaping your decisions, your fears, and your sense of security in ways only God should. This isn't a verse against having money; it's a verse about who owns you. Ask yourself honestly today: does a shrinking account number shrink your peace? Does a growing one inflate your confidence more than God's promises do? Wherever the answer stings, that's the place to hand the reins back to the right Master.
Lord, examine where money has taken Your place in my heart. I want You alone to be my security. Amen.
