"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
There's a specific tenderness in the image of binding up a wound — it's slow, careful, hands-on work, not a quick fix from a distance. That's how God approaches your broken places too. He doesn't just declare you healed from far away; He draws close and tends to the specific wound, at the specific pace your healing requires. If today you feel more broken than healed, that's not evidence He's absent. It might be evidence He's in the careful, unhurried middle of the binding.
Lord, bind up the wounds I'm still carrying. Heal me at whatever pace is right, and stay close while You do it. Amen.
