The God of Hope

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."
— Romans 15:13

Notice this is a prayer, not a command — Paul is asking God to fill, not instructing believers to muster hope by sheer effort. That's good news if your hope tank feels empty today. You are not required to manufacture hope out of nothing; you're invited to be filled with it, by the Spirit's power, as you keep believing. Let this be your prayer today too, even in a season where hope feels thin: ask, specifically, to be filled again rather than trying to force it.

Prayer

God of hope, fill me with joy and peace as I believe You. Let hope abound in me by Your Spirit's power today. Amen.
